Chemical Permits and Licensing Support

Offshore developments in the Oil and Gas Industry require a series of permits appropriate to the operations being undertaken. These are known as Petroleum Operations Notices (PONs).

At BMT Cordah we work with our customers from the planning stage through to permit submission offering guidance, support and preparation of all required supporting and submission documents under The Offshore Petroleum Activities (Conservation of Habitats) Regulations 1999 (As Amended) and the Offshore Chemicals Regulations 2002 (As Amended 2011).

  • PON14 – Seismic Survey
  • PON15B – Drilling of exploration, appraisal, development (production) and injection (water/cuttings) wells.
  • PON15C – To cover the tie back of wells, subsea operations on pipelines and other equipment associated with offshore installations.
  • PON15D – For operating fields which require routine chemical discharges.
  • PON15F – Workover operations, e.g. Scale squeezes and well abandonment.
  • PON15E – Decommissioning

We strive for excellence and have regular detailed discussions with the statutory consultees and DECC regarding the permitting system. Discussions have ranged from future changes to legislation and their implications for operators, to the risk assessments of novel offshore operations.

BMT Cordah recognises the tight deadlines to which the offshore industry works and offers a fast turnaround service.
