Norman Di Perno MBA MSc (Eng) - Managing Director
Norman has more than 25 years’ experience in environmental due diligence assessments, environmental impact assessments, regulatory compliance audits, waste minimization audits, environmental risk assessments, hazardous materials storage and handling evaluations, and emergency preparedness/response evaluations. As a project hydro geologist for over 300 small and large scale water supply systems, Norman has been involved in the interpretation of geological maps and air photos, logging boreholes, recommending drilling methods, performing pump tests and aquifer yield evaluations, as well as providing advice on groundwater treatment requirements. He has also worked with corporate and government clients in the preparation of their environmental protocol for issues such as environmental impact assessments and long term leases.

Joe Ferris PhD - Associate Director
Joe is our EIA & Renewables Team Leader and as an environmental professional, Joe’s work has included impact studies and environmental assessments, statutory planning, ecological field studies, implementation of the ecosystem approach, protected species studies and consultation, biodiversity planning, ecological risk assessment, and environmental support for offshore and onshore renewable energy projects. As project manager, he has overseen technical and professional staff, multi-year projects, sub-consultants and contractors from invitation to tender through to contract award and job completion. Recent projects have included oil & gas developments and decommissioning, port and harbour development, new power stations, appropriate assessments, subsea cables and pipelines, cumulative effects assessment, biodiversity assessments and water development projects.

Ron Bisset - SIA Team Leader
Ron is the Leader of BMT Cordah’s Social Impact Assessment/Stakeholder Engagement business stream. Due to his social and environmental science qualifications he works in both social and environmental consultancy and has done so for approximately 30 years. Most of this work relates to international Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (compliant with the requirements of the major multi-lateral lending institutions), for projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors, located in developing countries (many of them in West/East Africa) and countries in transition (East Europe, Caucuses, and Central Asia). In addition, he undertakes social and environmental due diligence, project evaluations and performance reviews for a variety of projects; for both companies and for lenders.

Ewan Laird - RDM Team Leader
Ewan presently leads the Risk and Data Management Team involved with the permitting processes for Offshore Operations which has involved working with a number of external clients. These have included Nexen, Maersk, BP and Talisman. Previous experience within BMT Cordah and other consultancies focused on preparation of Engineering Drawings and Graphics including GIS and AutoCAD and environmental monitoring. Projects have concentrated on environmental impact assessment, landfill groundwater and noise monitoring, site investigations, wastewater management and treatment, sludge treatment, and water resources.
