Marine Survey

Available information on the exisiting marine fauna and environment is generally insufficient at any one location to be in a position to fully assess either the implications of a proposed action or development or the need to conserve or manage the habitats in question. Further, the need to understand the effects of an action and the consequential environmental response, including in respect of routine operations, management actions and accidental pollution events, cannot be determined with any certainty from prediction alone.

BMT Cordah Ltd has a marine survey team which is well equipped and experienced in carrying out marine and coastal environmental surveys of all types, including benthic and shore survey using remote equipment, divers, biotope mapping and ground-truthing of aerial/satellite imagery. Appropriate survey methodology and design is critical to ensure efficient and cost effective work to answer the relevant questions being asked.
