BMT Cordah’s has two principal business foci.
First, we support agencies in the development and improvement of their
procedures in terms of achieving the sustainability and poverty alleviation
agendas. BMT Cordah offers assistance covering environmental and social issues
and their interactions especially in the context of the development
implications for the poor and other vulnerable groups and their livelihoods.
Within this context BMT Cordah provides review and evaluation services to
examine the performance of development initiatives.
Second, BMT Cordah implements projects supported by the agencies in-country. We
specialize in projects with a strong focus on capacity development for the
environment. In this context we work closely with indigenous personnel to
identify impediments to better management performance and identify the key
institutional, training and technical changes that are required to improve
capacity to manage the environment. Further, BMT Cordah has extensive
experience in provision of training and development of regulations, guidelines
and procedures that assist improving local capacity.
