Principal Consultant to support the Regional Director in the management and development of BMT Cordah’s
environmental consultancy for the UK oil and gas sector. This challenging role involves leadership,
management of staff, client management, work-winning, project management, hands-on project work, and the
application of commercial and technical skills and knowledge.


Consultants to conduct Environmental Impact Assessments for offshore oil and gas projects and/or to prepare
PON 15s for the use and discharge of offshore chemicals, according to UK regulatory requirements. The work
may also involve other types of environmental project. Ideally, candidates should have a background in
marine environmental science, environmental engineering, ecotoxicology, or chemistry, but we are willing to
consider candidates from other disciplines. The role requires a methodical approach to data collection,
analysis, interpretation and report writing.

Edinburgh, UK

Senior or Principal Consultant with experience in winning, managing and participating in environmental
management projects for the international oil and gas sector. The role would suit an experienced environmental
scientist or engineer with significant overseas track record in consultancy for the oil and gas sector, and
with strong team-working and team-building skills. We are also willing to consider candidates with an
occupational health and safety background.


Landscape architect with five to ten years’ experience. The role would suit a highly motivated individual,
who would respond to the challenges of leading and developing BMT Cordah’s landscape architecture business
in Scotland and Northern England. Candidates must be MLI qualified.


Ecologist with particular skills and experience in protected species (survey licences an advantage). Candidates
should have 3+ years ecological work experience, including some time in consultancy. As well as sound field
survey and report writing skills, the role requires a good understanding of EIA (specifically ecological
assessment), EPS licensing and UK environmental policy and legislation. A driving licence is essential and
GIS skills (MapInfo) desirable, although training can be provided.

Stavanger, Norway

Principal Consultant with business development experience required to expand BMT Cordah’s business for the
Norwegian oil and gas sector. The role will require experience of working at a senior level in an environmental
consultancy or a related type of business (e.g. health and safety, economics, risk and reliability, training,
etc) with clients in the oil and gas sector. In addition, Norwegian language skills and experience of the
Norwegian oil and gas sector would be advantageous.
