BMT Cordah provides management support and consultancy services focused on improving the capacity of governments, government agencies and international development assistance organisations to achieve sustainability in their decision-making process. These services result in recommendations or solutions to issues and problems arising from most of the significant interactions of development and the environment.

BMT Cordah combines three basic, but critical elements in its approach; analysis of client needs and constraints, best international practice, and a deep understanding of the current priorities of the international development agenda. These elements are combined to produce a set of outputs (from recommendations to manuals/guidelines to training outcomes) that are coherent with policy, existing capacity and likely to be effective.

The goal in all our work is to seek to ensure that developments are sustainable and adverse impacts are minimised and opportunities enhanced. Two fundamental principles guide our work; first, to achieve this goal cost-effectively and secondly, to do so whilst maintaining full stakeholder input.

Development has proceeded apace throughout the world and there is a legacy of environmental damage that is still continuing as a result of emissions of pollutants either routinely or due to accidents. BMT Cordah offers extensive skills in emission control and minimisation ranging from air quality improvements to oil spill containment and clean-up. Working with our clients, BMT Cordah strives to ensure that environmental damage is minimised and improvements occur, as cost-effectively as possible.
