Environmental Management & Sustainable Development: 22-30 AugustAn intensive 7-day training course that provides a practical understanding of the principles and techniques of environmental management within the framework of sustainable development. The course has been carefully structured to provide a programme that covers all aspects of environmental management for the oil & gas industry. A lively, stimulating and interactive course with a strong focus on exercises, structured discussion and simulation sessions. Who should attend? A wide range of personnel from the oil and gas industry, particularly environmental advisors, engineers, HSE representatives, environmental scientists and environmental studies advisors. iema approved Internal EMS Auditor Course (UK): 3 days 31 August - 2 SeptemberSuccessfully completing this 3-day course will enable participants to be effective members of an audit team. Provides a working understanding of the audit process in the context of Environmental Management Systems (EMS). Includes principles of auditing, types of environment audit, and the various techniques available to complete an audit effectively. Presentations interspersed with interactive group work structured around a case study of an oil and gas facility, including a simulated audit. Who should attend? Individuals from any industry who will be responsible for auditing and reviewing environmental management systems. The course will also be of interest to those seeking to register as an auditor under the iema auditor registration scheme. Oil spill response: 31 August - 2 SeptemberThis 3-day course provides an overview of the response processes in the event of an oil spill on land or at sea, and enables those involved to understand how to conduct area assessments and the need for preventative measures. Who should attend? Individuals who require a good understanding of oil spill response, management and those HSE personnel whose remit is to provide preventative solutions, whether in the implementation of a Contingency Plan, or as part of a Response Unit.
