As a result of continued expansion, BMT Cordah is looking to recruit experienced principle consultancy staff.
EDINBURGH- Donor Agency Market
A Principal Consultant is required who would be expected to play a major role in developing the team and winning overseas work. S(h)e should have at least 10 year’s experience of working on overseas projects for clients in multi-lateral/bi-lateral agencies and the private sector (ideally with an emphasis on CEE countries and the FSU). The preferred candidate will have extensive environmental skills and experience, backed up with a credible ability in social/institutional aspects of development or environmental economics or solid waste policy/strategy. Specifically, s(h)e will be familiar with the current ‘development’ agendas relating to issues such as poverty alleviation and the application of integrated/sustainability assessments at strategic and project levels. The ability to work in a second major European language such as Russian, French or Spanish is a distinct advantage. Demonstrated resourcefulness, ability to deliver reports to tight schedules and willingness to spend considerable time overseas are necessary attributes. ‘Remote’ working will be considered in special circumstances.
ABERDEEN – Waste / Contaminated Land
A Principal Consultant is required to contribute to managing a team of consultants largely servicing the non-oil & gas market. A proven track record in business development and in providing waste management and contaminated land services would be a distinct advantage. Other proven technical skills will be considered if accompanied by an ability to win and deliver high quality work.
SOUTHAMPTON – Marine / Ports
A Principal Consultant is required to assist in managing and growing a small team of consultants and to lead in business development activities. A proven track record in the ports and harbour sector and/or technical skills in marine/coastal protection and environmental impact and mitigation would be an advantage.
GLASGOW – Waste / Water / Other
A Senior/Principal Consultant is required to assist in developing our new office in Glasgow. The candidate should have a good knowledge of the market in the west of Scotland, a proven track record in work winning and a technical discipline in waste management, waste-water and/or other technical consultancy expertise.
