BMT Cordah has been providing professionally approved training services to environmental managers and staff for over twenty years. In February, BMT Cordah was accredited by the Nautical Institute to be able to provide MCA and DTI courses for Oil Spill Response. These courses are aimed at Harbours, Ports & Offshore Personnel involved with Oil Spill Response. This complements BMT Cordah's ability to provide IMO Levels 1 & 2 Response Courses, internationally.
The 2004 training programme is now underway with the successful completion of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (iema) approved three day Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Internal Auditor course in Edinburgh at the end of April. For those who wish to subscribe to this course, and were unable to attend in April, it will be repeated in September.
IMO Level 2 courses have already been run this year for clients in the Faeroe Islands, Italy and the UK. Open MCA 4p courses are planned for June and October, plus courses in-house as required.
Our Aberdeen office is also running the IMO course in August, incorporating a specialised case study for the oil & gas industry. The course will be provided immediately after our internationally acclaimed two week training programme on Environmental Management & Sustainable Development for the Oil & Gas industry that has already attracted interest from as far afield as West Africa and the Middle East.
