Successful Launch of "EEMS Reporter"

In response to the impending withdrawal of the Microsoft Excel Bridging Workbooks, BMT Cordah and Novatech have launched "EEMS Reporter", a new, cost-effective system to facilitate reporting to the Environmental Emissions Monitoring System (EEMS).
Reporting to the EEMS is a requirement for all offshore O&G operators on the UKCS. As an interim solution it was possible to submit all EEMS reports via Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Support for these is being withdrawn mid-2009 by which time all operators must have acquired new systems for generating the XML computer code required to complete this statutory reporting.
EEMS Reporter is a web-based system - it is available immediately and requires no installation. It allows users to enter the specific data for all EEMS Reports, and submit to the EEMS Portal. The reports are laid out in a similar way to the Bridging Workbooks and therefore very little training is required. EEMS Reporter reads all operator-specific information from the EEMS XML schema and automatically populates the required fields in each report to reduce potential data entry errors. Once a report has been completed, the system validates it prior to submission, in order to ensure all data types are correct and all mandatory fields are complete.
EEMS Reporter is a simple and cost-effective solution and offers a smooth transition from the Bridging Workbooks. The system is up and running now and can, should operators wish, can be tailored to meet specific requirements.
Introductory Offer
As an introductory offer BMT Cordah are providing a single generic user ID to all operators free of charge until the end of June 2009. This user ID will allow operators to trial the system until the bridging spreadsheets are withdrawn.
Several operators have taken up this offer and are currently using EEMS Reporter to submit their EEMS reports.
